Hello, can someone please help me? I have been on Subuxone for over 3 years. I take one 8mg strip a day. My doctor currently got diagnosed with cancer and quit his practice in December. I need a new doctor. The ones I have found want anywhere from 200 to 300 weekly. My old doctor was a 100.... someone please help me with a doctor. Please!

MichaelG,

Have you done everything you can to find another? Most of us have the same tools you do for finding a new doctor. Did you already ask your previous doc who to go to in case he wasn`t available? This is a point we can`t stress hard enough. Everyone has to know where to go in case of whatever.

The members here will only post back to you if they live in the same city and know of someone. So far no one has answered your question. That means that you need to get a list of all the providers and start calling. If you find a doctor who works out of a clinic it may be best to just show up and beg for an open slot. My doctor tells all patients who call that he has no openings, but he does. I asked and he told me he keeps it at roughly 85% full. Why? Because if one of his regular patients like me decide to suddenly stop and then fail, he keeps my spot open until he`s sure the patient won`t ever need it again. That makes me feel a bit more secure but does nothing to help you.

Sorry this wasn`t the answer you were looking for but it`s all I got. Let`s hope someone out there can offer some better information.

Welcome here and good luck finding a new doctor.
