Just curious as to how much you could actually take in the liquid taper method at once. Because of the ease of making smaller reductions I was hoping it could be done with 4mg. I understand how to make the solution but could you let that amount of liquid sit under your tongue, and will it all dissolve? Any info would be great! Also would like it better if the sub didnt have to sit in my mouth for 15 to 20 min

buprenorphine has a solubility of 17mg/1ml of water. So if you really wanted to dissolve 4mgs into 1ml of water you could do it. I found .5ml of water was the ideal amount to hold under my tongue at one time. You need to keep it in your mouth for about 10 minutes.

I don't know why you want to do a liquid dose at that level though. It's really mostly useful for when you get down to 1mg and under.
