How long did your doctor think you'd need other pain meds before returning to the sub???

If your "in the timeframe" where they thought your pain would be down enough, Id say go for it now. you only need to wait about 12 hours after your last percocet, before taking suboxone, cuz the halflife is really short. I know ppl that've taken it almost RIGHT after actually, meaning only a few hours.

Im NO medical professional, but before my dental stuff (ten molars extracted at once, two times) they wrote out all the options for me, in case I wanted to use something else, for pain, like percocet.

My doctor told me if I was only gonna be on the percocet for a few days, less than a week, that theres no reason to re-induce with the suboxone.

Hope that helps .........and if you really are feeling terrible, since the subutex doesnt have ANY naloxone in it, you could probably take that NOW.
remember Im not trying to TELL you what to do. Im not a doctor, but Im about 99% sure that the above info is accurate, cuz its what my doctor wrote up for me just a few weeks ago.

GOOD LUCK

People have the misconception that naloxone causes p.w. when actually its the buprenorphine. this is because its a partial agonist not a full. naloxone is only in this formula to prevent iv use. if you are addicted to a full agonist and take a partial too soon, pw occurs. if you are not physically addicted to full agonists and take a partial, nothing will happen. hope this helps, hang on, things will iron out more every day so you can get back to your life.

you should be well within the range, after 12 hours from your LAST dose of percocets........If you already feel really shitty though, like withdrawl central,,,,,
sooner is PROBABLY fine.

I wish someone who has actually BEEN THRU this transition would post.

Id take it, if its been at least 6-8 hours..........if you've been on sub any amount of time, Im willing to bet even with 6 days off, you still have some in your system........NOT needing to re-induce I mean.

you could always take 2 mg and see if you feel better

then 2 more.

Im not a doctor, just trying to help...........HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON

I'm with everyone else. Give it overnight and then try to wait until noon then take your Subutex. Stop waiting and get some relief. You will feel better in no time. Don't worry about w/d's, you won't have them if you wait at least 12-18 hours.

There was a similar situation in this thread, check it out:

http://suboxforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=5 ... ght=#50825

This info from hatmaker's post could help you out:

hatmaker510 wrote:
When a person stops their sub for surgery or a medical procedure and they're only off it for less than 3-4 days, they only have to wait ~ 12 hours before re-starting their sub. They do NOT have to wait to go back into full withdrawals to do a full induction again.

I don't see why your situation would be any different, HOWEVER - keep in mind I am NOT a doctor nor a medical professional of any kind. I'm merely basing my opinion on that similar situation.

How long have you waited so far since your relapse? If it's been more than 12 hours, you should be safe to re-start your suboxone. That's my opinion.
