Hi all! I am new to this forum and am desperately trying to find a suboxone doctor near me...It is obviously impossible in this area:( I have called every Dr that is listed it is impossible to find one taking patients in this area and don't know what else to do? Only other option is over an hour away. My question is if I were to travel an hr for treatment how does it all work? How often would I have to make these trips and how long do appts take? Also, what r the avg costs involved? I have no insurance:( Any help or input would b greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

My doc used to have office hours in the next town over from me one day a week, but doesn't now, so I go 40min. each way.

If you go to a legitimate doctor, who takes insurance it should go something like this:
Day 1- induction
Day 2 - follow up appointment
1 or 2 weeks - appointment
2 weeks later - appointment
Monthly appointments from this point on, if there are no issues.

So if you can get through the first two weeks of lots of driving, the monthly thing is doable. Maybe the doc will even forgo some of the early appts. if s/he knows you have a long drive.
The "shady" docs make people go weekly and pay cash. I would avoid that situation like the plague.
Good Luck,
Lilly
