It's been a few years but I am back here , and in the general "boat"

A miracle occurred and I think I found a sub doc I can afford ( $200 ) and hopefully will induce Thurs. June 2nd.

I am coming off of poppy seed tea and have induction concerns, as PT lasts a long time.

I am feeling shaky and icky, barely can type a paragraph. My concerns are in the induction section if you have ever been haunted by PST ( basically oral opium )

thanks for any help

I hope to contribute after I get this induction Hello over with .

Hey not again,

I have heard of poppy seed tea but literally know nothing about it or the addiction part of it. I'd love to hear about it if u wanna explain it....like is it something sold online, is the withdrawal just like pills...I know nothing about it but if it's pretty much liquid opium, I bet it's gonna have pretty intense withdrawal.

200 dollars is pretty awesome imo, I pay 350 and I'd be very happy to find a dr for 200. So ur induction is Thursday? I'm glad ur getting this treatment and hopefully will be feeling better soon! Good luck.

I've had a few patients who used PST. They were getting the seeds in bulk from the chain grocery store in town, or in some cases ordering the pods online. The main issue from my perspective was all of the morphine (which is the primary ingredient in PST) sitting in the small and large intestines, potentially triggering precipitated withdrawal during induction. The goal is to eliminate agonists from your body before induction... so I recommend waiting until you are at the stage of withdrawal that causes diarrhea, and giving it another 6-12 hours after that, to metabolize the stuff in your bloodstream. Otherwise, it shouldn't be very different from other inductions.

Welcome back!

I hope your induction went smoothly.
