Hi I am new to this forum. I have been taking subs for about 8 mos now. I had previously been on a low dose of methadone but had to switch to subs after a geographic relocation made it impossible to get into a new methadone program. I have come here looking for like minded people in the same situation that I am in so I can find answers to my questions.

Thanks
Joe

Welcome to the forum. There are alot of well informed, smart people on this forum. I've been on sub for 6 1/2 years and thought I knew everything there was to know about suboxone and recovery but I've learned a great deal since first browsing the posts a years ago and becoming a member a few months ago. You will get lots of good responses with any questions or concerns you have with your recovery. How has the switch been for you? I was on 50 to 60 mg of methadose for awhile (illegal supply) and I did ok on it for about 9 months. I did stay off other opiates for those months but I had a hard time not abusing it. I always found myself running out early and if there's one thing I know it's that you don't want to quit that stuff cold turkey. I went from methadose back to abusing pills and such to suboxone so i don't really know how the transition is. I was curious what it was like early on when switching and how it compares now that your stable. Again, welcome to the forum.
