I have been informed that Florida stopped providing Suboxone treatment. But I am not on Medicaid any more, am on Medicare.

I suspect that this is not a State of Florida decision, but one of the venders one is to receive prior approval. If this is so, they may be violating the American With Disabilities Act. and for example if anyone had to drop from Suboxone treatment and got arrested for possession. I bet a legal case could be made against the vender who did not approve the case. Mental Health professionals are not well know for following research and doing Evidence Based Treatment. I believe that such poor treatment can be devastating to peoples lives,

When I was on Medicaid, I remember the vendor we had to get prior approval from was sort of of pain in the butt. She demanded patient to be on 12Step program. My doctor who is one of the more "liberal", is a Narcotics Anonymous member had to tell the provider What is it that you do not understand about the word anonymous?
