Hi , I am new here and I love the sight and the people. But, there are a couple things I dont quite understand, hoping you veterans may be able to help. When I select a certain forum, the posts are do not seem to be listed from most recent post to oldest. I am not quite sure how it is set up, It looks like it might be set up with the most frequent posters at the top and then on down. Is there any way to chage the way it appears on my screen, such as with the most recent posts at the top and then on down? The other thing I noticed was that there never seems to be anybody in the chat room. Are ther certain times that it is busier than others, I would love to chat live with some of you. Thanks for listening , would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks and Peace to you,

B.

hello fly,

the individual forums should be in order of most recent post with the exception of "stickies" which are always at the top of the page. when you open the topics there is an option near the bottom of each page where you can choose to view oldest first or newest first. once you choose which one you want, it should stay that way for all topics. but that is for individual threads.

hope that helps some...

about the chat room, im not sure... i hope someone who uses chat can answer that. i never have used it actually :/

welcome to the forum!

Hi B,

To view the most recent posts all you need to do is go to Index, and on the left side a little ways down you'll see "view posts since last visit". Click on that and you're good to go. What I did was to make that my favorite page for this site so it always goes to the most recent posts.

And as far as the chat room goes...your guess is as good as mine. It's just not popular. Amber has tried and tried. She would post chat sessions and even that didn't work out.

If I haven't said it already, Welcome to the forum! BTW, I love your user name. I am Irish (part) and also a fly fisherman. That is what you meant, yes?

Rule

Basicllya flyman if you dont know is the guy who pulls the ropes that make the curtains and set pieces go up and down, or fly up and down. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, ha ha, no kidding , that really is my story. thanks for the reply, see you around.

peace, I'm out,
B. or Fly, I like that too
