Well, I now have 14 and a half subs- and I highly doubt that Medicaid will cover anymore.
I have been on it for almost 7 years, now. So, I suppose that it is time for me to go off of
it. It doesn't really matter if I am ready or not, because this is the cards that are being dealt
to me, right now.

So, does anyone have any suggestions for a tapering schedule?

I just have a lot on my mind right now- especially with the upcoming gall bladder surgery.

Thanks,

-ex-

I am sorry to hear this is happening to you exorphin. It really sucks.

I don't know much about tapering because I havent done it, but I have a question....Do you have 14.5 of the 8mg subs or the 2mg subs? If you tell us maybe someone can come along and help you make a quick taper schedule.

I am wishing you the best and sending good thoughts your way.

Thanks, Orange doll.

They are the 8 mg tablets.

Thanks,

That "double dose then stop" method sounds ludicrous to me...with buprenorphines super long half life, you already have a large amount built up in your body....tapering is a much more comfortable method in my opinion. However, I have never tried it before, so I might be totally wrong. But just knowing the facts about this drug, that seems like a terrible idea.
