Since doing this made me realize there's more good in my life than I think I realized, I'm going to keep this thread going.

1 - I realized early on that the job I had taken was the worst fit possible for me. Square peg, round hole sort of thing. I didn't keep it - it was making me nearly ill. I feel SOOOO much better now that it's over. And I have the support of my husband, family, friends in doing this.

2 - Deluca's pizza

3 - Pedicures

4 - When my dog cuddles up next to me, putting his head on/near my lap.

5 - Cool summer nights with the windows open.

1. It's Friday and the working week went Fast!

2. Feeling 'normal' and feeling able to go for a quick drink with work friends today after work.

3. We have my husbands kids this weekend and they are always good (most of the time) when they come stay with us.

4. My train tickets came for next weekend when I take a trip to my mum and dad's (not been to see them for 18 month because of you know what).

5. The sounds of the birds song floating through my window here.

3) Oranges.......especially now that I get to share em w/my lil man, TEN WKS OLD and already trying fruits!!

4) The love/support of a sister, MY sister......she's so special to me. I love her so much!

5) Having a SOLID marriage. My husband and I have been thru ALOT since we began dating. Each struggle we get thru together,
only makes our love and commitment to one another that much STRONGER.

It's that time again. Here's five things I'm grateful for at this moment in time:

1 - My brand new Toshiba laptop! WOO-HOO, I love, love, LOVE it!!!! No more yelling at my computer. I just might take a hammer to it or run over the old one with my car just because I can! Now won't that feel good!?

2 - My soap opera - Days of Our Lives! It's been great lately.

3 - Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

4 - My internal clock that wakes me up every morning at a reasonable hour without my alarm clock.

5 - Logic and reasoning!

Well, I guess I kinda dropped the ball on this thread! Thanks to everyone who is posting here and keeping the dream alive :D

This is a problem with me...I am really good at starting projects, not so good on the follow through. Hence my screen handle - Diary of a Quitter. I am working on this aspect of my character, but I do believe it might be a lifelong project.

I will say that even though I haven't been posting my five things every day, I still notice things each day to be grateful for and I've noticed that just doing this exercise for a little while has shifted my outlook and my perception in a most positive way. In any case, I'm back now and here are my five things for today:

1. NICU nurses.

2. A Game of Thrones. (I just finished the first book)

3. My new secondhand Ipod! Yay for belated birthday gifts!!!

4. Coconut-scented lotion, mmmmm... divine.

5. Bit-torrent downloads of my fave tv shows.

Yes- I know that this thread is old,
so please do not bash me for it:
I think that we all could use a little bit of gratitude, these days.

I am grateful for (not in any particular order) :

1. My spiritual life/ relationship with my higher power.

2. Resources with which to provide myself with the basics that I need to survive.

3. Internet access.

4. My friends- and a few family members.

5. A very good sub doctor and therapist.

-ex-

My suboxone refill costing 0 thanks to patient assistance thru RB............yes!

269 days of no 'dopesickness' or stealing, searching, lying, tearing my family (and child) up, creating yet MORE financial ruin, and generally F==King up anything and everything that meant anything in my life.
