#1---people who smile

#2---Saturday and Sunday

#3---glass. Without it, my house would have no windows and that would suck!

#4---curtains. I love glass and all, but I don't want the neighbors peeking in at the wrong time.

#5---my past drug use. Without it, I wouldn't be the person I am today and I am learning more and more everyday that I'm a pretty good person.

1. Toast

2. The three new members of the Thursday afternoon "bupe group" at my treatment program.

3. My internal alarm clock which always eventually wakes me up when I have some how turned off all three of my alarm clocks in my sleep. This morning I woke up with 16 minutes to get ready and get out of the house. I did it but, it wasn't pretty.

4. Books. Don't know what I would do without them. I'm currently reading "Zeitoun" by Dave Eggers. It is simply amazing and I highly recommend it.

5. Trashy magazines like Star and US weekly; my secret guilty pleasure

I AM CORNHOLIO, ARE YOU THREATENING ME?? (If you've never seen Beavis and Butthead, that just went right over your head!!)

Hatmaker, I forgot to tell you, I got 2 tattoo's about 4 weeks ago. One is barbed wire in the shape of an infinity symbol on the inside of my left bicep, barbed wire for how bad ass I was to survive my wd and the infinity symbol to signify that I have to be ever vigilant with protecting my sobriety. The very next day, I went and got a cross on my back. My wife said she thinks guys with crosses on their backs look sexy, yeah, the cross was a no brainer after that comment. She also made me promise to wait until the end of summer before I get another tattoo!! I went from ZERO tattoo's ever in my life to 2 in two days.

Anyway, now that I'm a bad ass, tattooed dude, I ain't afraid of you......well, maybe just a little!!

You think two littly itsy bitsy tattoos makes you bad ass? I'll say give it to you again....    Well, at least you're good for a laugh. I'm curious though, how long did you sit for your tattoos? Half an hour, 45 minutes? Or a whopping 4 hours? And did you faint, did you cry, did you squirm? Until you get more than 25 tattoos including on your elbows and neck, you don't get to use that buzzing needle to call yourself bad ass.

You know I'm just teasing you, right? Poor guy, you're just grasping at straws aren't you? You're way more afraid of me than you let on....tsk tsk tsk.   I just can't stop LMFAO.

Hey at least we know we can both take it AND dish it out. Sometimes you really do ROCK! Thanks for starting out my weekend with a good belly laugh.

Now that I'm done razzing you, I wanted to say it's very cool that you got a couple of tattoos. Are these your first ones or new ones? You should post pictures of them. My last new one was about three months ago. They are always fun to get. No more yanking your chain about you not being bad ass...I'm sure you're just as bad ass as anyone. :D

Damn, Hat and Romeo. You guys are making want to go out and get another tattoo!! It certainly is fun and I'm pretty sure if I let myself, I could get lots and lots. Why is is so fun anyway?

2. Realizing my kids are strong and can face the world just fine, even when it is tricky.

3. The unspoiled mountains around here....nature in general esp. the wild horses.

4. Lady Gaga's new album....(don't beat me up for that one too hard.)

5. My BELOVED SISTER IS MOVING HERE!!!!!! I just found out yesterday and I'm sooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta add one more......

Those missionaries gave up on my soul and quit coming to my house!!!!! YAY!!!! LOL!

Hey Hat, those were my first ever tattoo's!! I'm telling ya, after that first one, I loved how it looked so much that I want a dozen more.

I would love to post pictures of my tat's, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to post pictures onto this crazy website?? I have tried and tried and tried, but no dice man. Oh, it just hit me, you don't want to see my tat's, you want to see my awesome bicep, don't you?? You're so naughty!!

About the belly laugh, right back at ya. After reading your second to last post, I let out a howling laugh!!

Where did everyone go? It's already time for my next day's 5 things and no one else has posted since yesterday....I'm guessing it's the 3-day weekend.

Today's things I'm grateful for are:

1 - Ancestry.com and other genealogy things like really old family photos

2 - Large family reunions - our 2d annual is coming up this summer!

3 - With all the storms and tornado warnings last night, it wasn't bad here. The dog didn't even hide.

4 - Books...old and new, especially from authors like Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins

5 - SALES!!!! Especially CLEARANCE

#3---feeling a light breeze as it winds its way through the trees, at this moment,

#4---I am at peace and all is well, until

#5---my daughter, who has snuck up around the side of the house, squirts me with the garden hose!! WATER FIGHT!! :D

This thread seems to be dying a little bit. Well, I'm going to keep going!

1 - (Last time I said the blooming lilacs - this time:) The FRESH CUT lilacs that are right next to me spreading their fragrance throughout the living room! MMMM GOOD.

2 - Passing two of the three training tests at work on the first try.

3 - My husband takes care of the weekly garbage - thanks hubby!

4 - The recall campaign of our not-so-new governor

5 - Soft summer breezes
