Doctors always over prescibe subs...My doc told me to take a 8 mg strip in the morning but I know I dont need that much and dont want to take that much. I cut my 8mg strip into fours and take one(2mg) in the morning and another(2mg) later in the afternoon. See how you are feeling and if needed take one(2MG) before bed but a lot of it is mental..

I still don't quite understand though. How exactly do i know if I've taken too much? I don't think I should judge much off the first day of withdrawal. it's still very early to know what I should do.

What do I use to determine if I've had enough?

I should also add. I'm slightly concerned with the PA here. I called them yesterday to see if I was ok taking only half, and he said... literally "don't worry, it has an agent that won't allow you to take too much. just take the whole tab, not half"

I did not follow that advice though.

Your doctor seems to lack some real Suboxone education. I'd like to steer you to the doctors blog on here. It is full of such great information that could really help you out right now. I still refer back to it sometimes and it helped me get some really good information at the beginning.

There's probably more accuracy in that I'm misunderstanding the doc.

Anyway, I went back for my initial visit and now that I've gone a couple days things have stabilized. Found out the problem with me being dizzy was that I haver vertigo. So i got stuff for that.

other than that, I think the mood swings have settled, and I'm feeling pretty much fantastic!

So i thought I'd make one last post here, and thank everyone for the concern and thoughtful feedback.

Having things to read to help me through this was instrumental in making it a good transition.

Thank you everyone
