Once a person takes the patch off how long can they expect to start feeling any sort of withdrawal. I will also be stopping Percoets and Vicodin's but it is the 125mcg/hr every 48 hr patch I am most concerned about. I don't know maybe I should be equally worried about them all I just know what a high dose of opiate is in that little patch. I am scheduled to start Suboxone on Thursday and am really frightened about precipitated withdrawals. I have already got some good advice regarding when to stop the meds just wondering when the meds are gonna stop me :(

That is a hard question to answer without doing some research first. I'd go look at WebMd, Google the patch and look for the manufacturers information on it. It should state somewhere how long it stays in your system. Or how about asking the pharmacist for the answer?

If someone knows here they'll surely post it.

I have been doing a little and it sounds like around 5-8 hrs the first yucks should set in. I have stopped at 10 am and still feel okay a little nauseous and jittery so I guess here it comes. Will try to continue to post if I feel up to it. So nice to talk openly with others about what I have been hiding for so long. Thank you for reply. Oh, By the way the information was from the manufacturers web site.

Hi KN4Help - I don't have anything to add, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum and wish you the best on your upcoming induction. Do let us know how you're doing. :)

Thank you for the welcome. Not feeling well at all. Hope to get some sleep and face the long day tomorrow. Drinking lots of fluids until I cant keep them down. Crying at the stupidest things. I think that is what is bugging me the most the depression I am feeling. Not alone. Keeping family as close as possible and they are very proud and supportive of me. Will try to check in tomorrow. Body is aching as well. Naprosyn will have to do. Boy that will be a change for me. Check in with you all soon.
