Hi!! Happy to report that after a difficult induction and delivery, my baby girl was born on Sunday the 16th. She ended up in the NICU early because of some issues related to the delivery. After 24 hours she was moved to the low-risk NICU ward for NAS observation. Even though it's only day 3, everything is looking really really good. Her worst "symptoms" have been sneezing, increased muscle tone, and excessive suck. She did have one loose BM, but she's been going back and forth between breast milk and formula, so I'm not surprised. She's been sleeping and eating like any other baby. Breastfeeding in the NICU is a really big challenge. I was discharged yesterday, so now it's even harder, just being there with her is a challenge for me, given the physical state I'm in.

I will keep you posted on any new developments. The NICU doctor thinks she looks wonderful, and gave me hope that she'll be home by sunday or monday! Fingers Crossed!!

Bupemom,

That's fantastic news! I'm very happy for you and your little sweetheart.

I sure do hope you continue updating us because there are undoubtedly many who are, were or are going to be in the same situation you were and imagine what a relief it would be for them to hear your story.

Congratulations!
