hi everyone,

i have been in buprenorphine for over about three years. I am on 2 mg of subutex daily. I was on suboxone before, but felt it would be better to tack subutex as it is cheaper. at times, when i am having back pain, etc. i take 4 mg. i am not really "in recovery" and am a firm believer of hard reduction. i have discussed this option for opiod addicts on another blog that had to do with leaving aa. i need more specific support, i feel, for being on this drug. i am excited to have conversations with you guys. thanks. :)

thanks,

-violet

I, too, wanted to welcome you, violetsquared, to the forum. I'm sure you'll find the people here very supportive and the site very informative. Hope to continue to see you around the forum. Again - WELCOME!

Hi Violet,

And let me too extend the Welcome mat out to you. This is a great place for support so if you don't like AA/NA, this kind of counts as a support group.

There are members here who I've PM'd and also e-mailed when I was having a tough decision to make or just needed some support from others who know what I'm going through.

Your post was relevant to me because just this week I took more Sub than my normal 1.5 dose because of a raging back. Now I feel like I backslided as I can't seem to get even back down to 2mgs. It will take me a couple of weeks to get back where I was. Oh well, just wanted you to know you're not the only one who does that.

Rule62,

I love your signature!!

Listen, if I can almost off myself and manage to pick my sorry ass back up and get back on that crazy horse I've been riding, then you can "get back to where you once belonged!"

I have faith in you!!
