How long does it take to return to normal activity after endoscopy? I am going in for an endoscopy in the AM will be home by 2pm. It's the same day as my husbands holiday party starting at 6pm. Will I be feeling well enough to go to this event or should I reschedule the procedure for another day?

I am sorry that I don't have an exact answer for your question, but I imagine it has to do with how alert they keep you for the endoscopy. Are they putting you under any kind of anesthesia? If so, you may be a bit groggy and may not feel like going out. If you don't have anesthesia, you may feel ready to go that evening. It looks like you would have time for a nap before you go out if you need it.

If all else fails and no one can give you more definitive answers, call the facility where the procedure will be done and ask the same question. They should be able to tell how you'll be feeling after the endoscopy.

Welcome to the forum!

Amy
