Does anyone have experience dealing with a DOT physical and being on suboxone? I have my renewal coming up and am torn on what to do. Is suboxone a disqualification? If I don't tell the Dr will they know? Any help would be much appreciated.

As far as we know, Buprenorphine is not on the test yet. Whether or not this is still true no one has yet posted saying it is.

The only way to really find out is to ask one of the doctors giving it. Not by asking specifically about Bupe, just ask what they test for. What if someone has a script for Xanax or Valium but never takes it while driving. That should not go against them considering it's prescribed.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Hopefully, someone else will post who knows more than me.

Dr. Burson blogged about this a few months ago.

Our local ocmed clinics do not have buprenorphine on the panel they use for testing.
