When I was inducted to sub, the doctor that I went to doses you in office to see how you are doing on one, coming off of 110mg of methadonw and my PAWS where sky high, he gave me 16mgs, in about thirty minutes I felt great, had all this energy, looked like hell, could not wait to get home and clean myself up. So, I'm on 16mgs once a day, I take it late in the morning and forget about it. My insurance was no longer going to be a providor for him, so I had to get on another list but had the medication authorized through my insurance company. His fees are just to high and put a financial strain on me, he helped a lot of people but then got greedy. It's seen all to often, and its just too sad when the doctor that is supposed to be helping you just wants more money.

I went to a doc after a day with nothing after being on 24 mg of done also they wrote me a script for two subutex tabs and sent me to a pharmacy. After then i was singing in my car on my way home. I always had to go in to the doc every two weeks a 75 dollar pay from my insurance. Finally after about 8 months i got sick of it all and tapered down slow and quit. I called them back about three months later having my usual back and leg pain i thought was gone but was just being helped by the subox. I asked to be put on 2 mgs a day for pain management. Yeah right! Ha. Thank God i found a doctor who would do such a thing. Any ways now i take a half a tab at lunchtime then a quarter when i leave work and i never want more and never have with subox, it is a special medication. Take care dark eyes

So Wade am I understanding you correctly...You went off suboxone then went back on to help control your chronic pain? I know of other people who have done the same thing. For me I have always been on it for both my addiction and just as importantly, for my pain. My pain is chronic and incurable so I'll likely be on it for the long haul, if not for life. I dose 2 or 3 times a day, 8 mg each, depending on how my pain is that day. I've tried to go down to 4 mg 2-3 times a day but it just doesn't help my pain. I'm so glad to hear a much lower dose helps you.
