Hi All.
After reading some posts on level of dose I think sharing my initial experience of Bupe might be helpful to other just starting.
I'm on 16mg now and am doing very well.
Initially like most I guess I started on 4mg. that first day I was surprised how good I felt (not high but had energy) and I thought great!
next day I was given 8mg and went to work. Oh on. walking around trying to do banking I start vomiting in the street!
I went on my lunch hour and was curled on the bed, unable to move without vomiting.
I couldn't return to work. So the next day I refused he 10mg they Offered and sat on 4mg for almost two weeks. But then a combo of pain and I saw my cravings behaviours coming back and moved up to eight.
I moved up to 12 and that seemed the perfect dose and I do think the extra 4mg I'm taking only "helps" because I still have the behaviour more must be better. I have had hard trot of late and if 16mg gets me through than dammit 16mg I will take.
I will worry about lowering my dose at a later date. The 16mg makes me "stable" I think it works...so it works.
I'm not in a position to give anyone advice but I'll say this.
If you've just started the program don't go worrying about how soon you can drop your dose. Give yourself a break, just get stable and let the rest go for a bit.

Good suggestion. We need to get stabile and then learn new behaviors before dropping the dose
