Well I am having my lumbar L4,L5 fusion done Octeber 20. And I was very worried about pain control after surgery and I went to see the pain managment doc yesterday to tell her I was worried about pain control to my suprise she and my surgen have already got together and have a plane she wants me to take my Suboxon all the way to the day before surgery and she knows I will have a talorance like a horse, wow was I happy she said that I will need way more pain meds then normal people she said we will start out at about 30 to 40 mg of Diladid and go from there, and once she said that I knew I had nothing to worrie about. I told her of some other horror stories I heard from here and she said there are a lot of doc out there that think they know all and don't do research on diffrent drugs and then some poor people are in pain after surgery. She also said she would put me out before she would let me go through that sorta pain. I am happy to say pain control is the last thing I'm worried about. O ya my pain doc is my anastezealigist or how ever you spell it.

Oh, I'm SO happy and relieved for you! How wonderful that your doctor has ALL of your best interests in mind and went out of her way to address those unique needs. You must be breathing a HUGE sigh of relief. Good on you! And good luck with the surgery. We're pulling for you.
