i have been on suboxone 4mg tab twice a day for a year now
i usually split it in half and take 4 times a day. i dont like feeling out of it
which happens when taking the full 4mg at once
anyway, due to moving to a new city, had to get a new doc
he gives me the 8mg tab, so, i cut it in 4 pieces, but what should be the
same 2mg for me feels waaayyyy stronger than im used to
why is that? it's essentially the same mg, so why do i feel such a huge difference??

Is it the same generic brand you took before? Does that happen every time you take 2 mg throughout the day?

Why do you take it 4 times a day?

The only things i can think of are, either it's a different brand then you have had before and stronger or if it only happens the first time you are getting more bupe. Pills/tabs have fillers in them so maybe the first 2mg you take are concentrated with more bupe. The tabs/pills i have had are only scored so the pill can be split in half not into quarters as you are doing. That means the bupe should be equal if split in half but will not be equal if split any further.

That's all i can think of right now.

i mean sub film when i say tab
forgot it comes in pill form also
i take it 4X a day because 4mg is too strong for me
i nod off and pass out, when i wake up, i feel like i have an opiate hangover
not a pleasant sensation for me
i just dont like the feeling it gives me
plus, i cant function like that
it's made by the same people
im actually wondering if my tolerance went down
i was forced to do a 3 day detox before i got the new dr
cause of money issues

If you were taking 1/4 of a 4mg strip/tab 4 times a day, you were taking 1mg at a time. If you are now dividing an 8mg strip into 4 pieces, each of those pieces is 2mg each, so you are taking twice the amount you did before. I'm not sure if I understand what you were describing, but that's what it sounds like to me.

this is the 3rd time i have tried to post
if i get logged out again, i'll just give up!!!

i was not cutting them into 1/4 strips
i was taking half of a 4mg film 4X a day
which should be the equivalent of what i am doing now
cutting a 8mg strip into 4 equal pieces
unless i am somehow cutting it wrong
not sure
this doesn't even really matter
when i see the dr again im going to ask him to put me back on the 4mg film
the 8mg film is too small, its harder for me to cut
cutting these films in half is a lot easier than cutting into 4

I figured that I wasn't understanding you correctly.

Here's a tip for you about logging in. You can click on "stay logged in" or something like that and it should help with the getting logged out situation. At least I hope it does! :)
