This might have been posted before. If not, this is something you might find interesting. It's a documentary that featured on the BBC by a guy who was addicted to heroin and methadone for 30 years, trying desperately many times to kick methadone but couldn't make it even a week. He decides to try Ibogaine through underground channels... went through with it, and has been clean ever since! 9 years free off all opioids since.

The doco is in 5 youtube parts.I've left off the first because it is a bit graphic with needles and stuff, and some people might want to avoid triggers at this moment. But it is up on youtube should you want to find it.

Here's a recent update from this guy posted on my facebook doing a video with Krystle Cole, the geeky tripper girl who everyone loves to hate.

Regardless of what people think about Ibogaine - I'm a bit ambivalent about it myself - to see someone as dependent as this guy ... cured ... over a couple of days by taking Ibogaine. That is unheard of in more conventional recovery methods.

If I'm still dependent on opioids at his age... I wouldn't hesitate to try ibogaine either.

I ve corresponded with david graham scott a couple years ago. He told me at that time he blamed methadone for many of his problems; notice he whines a lot. he's an advocate for legal heroin maintainence. i believe ibogaine has truly unremarkable properties, (e.g. read guys post that relasped on here) but is no silver bullet

often addicts whine and bitch about maintainence and have this idea of being off everything. sounds good but is it really worth it?
i say treat your disease, especially if it's debilitating enough to contemplate ibogaine. it's one intense drug.

if you want another good documentary about iboga, watch facing the habit

also, i dont like grahams title; implicating death is the only other option. methadone is a great drug and he blames too many of his troubles on the 'godsend'. it's still a good documentary!

Yeah he sure is a sook. That was clear as day. The other thing that stood out was how immature the guy was. How old would he have been? In his 40's? And still he was still pandering up to his mother wanting her blessings before he does Ibogaine. But I guess that's drugs. Methadone did leave me in a stasis like that moreso than bupe.
