Keep hanging in there, mama!! Every second, every minute, every hour you make it means you're that much closer to feeling all better again.

Thanks Romeo! I can't wait til I can feel good naturally, and just wake up and go about my day without having to worry about nursing my w/d symptoms. I know it's just around the corner!!!

Ya, the gym was quite an accomplishment, actually! As stated earlier I was sweating before I even got there, and winded about 3 mins. into it. So it was a short session, but exercise, at least. I woke up with the usual: eyes watering, sneezes, feeling blah, but keep reminding myself to be grateful that I am able to get out of bed okay; unlike other times I have kicked. I actually slept well last night, but I'm pretty certain I hit the meds a little harder before bed. I will let you all know how it goes today! I'm hoping it will start going downhill a little at this point...

WTF is wrong with you Ms. Butt-Fly? Mama doesn't need any encouragement to post country music links, she does fine all on her own!!

Mama, I know you're still feeling some wd symptoms and whatnot, but know this, you will get better!! For the longest time in my wd, I was convinced I had permanently buggered up my brain. I was terrified of never feeling happiness again, never feeling comfortable again, never feeling normal again......but all those things did come back. (Thank God!!)

Opiate wd is a brutal assault on the senses. It hangs around like a fart in a phone booth, makes ya feel crappy, but there is an end. You just gotta stay strong, Bud!! (PS--being nice to that kind soul named Romeo will help you, too!!)

Thanks for all the words of praise and encouragement, everyone! So day 8 update: Despite the lack of sleep, I woke up with a little more pep in my step than I've had the last few days. My muscles and joints are pretty achy though. I think I worked out a little too hard, given my current situation, a couple days ago and am still feeling it pretty bad. The appetite is pretty much still the same, but the stomach issues aren't even half as bad as what I have read from other people. Just doing my best to remain grateful and positive that this detox is a freakin cake walk compared to the relentless hell of other opiate detoxes I have gone through. I am also grateful for subs, despite the anger I felt toward them recently, because w/ out them who knows where I'd be right now, and I definitely wouldn't be functioning, and able to take care of my little one, had I not done a taper and jumped at a fairly low dose. And so...here it is! I am officially past the one-week mark! It has seriously gone by fast, so far at least, and my worst days were 2 & 3, I think.

More to come later...

By the way, here's another one of my faves since it first came out a couple years ago:

Hey Mama, glad you are improving. FYI I learned yesterday that if you go in the sauna and sweat for awhile it should reduce or eliminate the detox "sweats" if you are still getting them. Medhelp.com says to sauna daily if possible to make opiate withdrawal quicker, and to eliminate detox sweats.

Congratulations and stay strong. Clonadine will help with sleep, it leaves you a bit lethargic the next day, but when you really have to sleep it's worthwhile to have some.

Congratulations to you, I'm so looking forward to the day I can post that I am free. 1.25 mgs to go!
