Well, I picked up my 60 day key chain at my NA meeting last night.....Yep, I'm a bad ass!!! 60 days, uh huh....oh yeah....that's right, I'm a rock star!! HAHAHA.

Yeah, last night at the meeting I was carrying on like I had 6 years of clean time, it was pretty funny.....I kept on asking people if my 60 day key chain meant that I was healed now!! Thank goodness my home group is full of goofballs like me who like to laugh and carry on while working on our recovery. Some of the meetings I've hit are BORING.....too many grumps in the room sucking all the positive out of NA......being sober does NOT mean that you have to be a tight-ass, uptight, grumpy, frown stuck on your face kind of person. I didn't quit drugs to be miserable, I quit drugs to be happy again.

I'm proud of myself, I'm also happy to be in NA right now. It's not a "perfect" program, I don't necessarily buy into everything the programs says, I'm learning to take what applies to me and my recovery, use the hell out of it and leave the rest. It's working good for me right now and that's all that matters.

PS---I got my 60 day key chain!!!!!!

YAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! I am very, very super-sized proud of you, dude!!

And I can very much picture you being a complete and total goofball about the whole thing too, lol. Are you going to have it gold-plated? Dang, I wish I coulda been at that meetings to give it to you and to give you a big, huge hug too. You've come so far and worked your butt off to get there. You earned every little atom of that chip.

It's not just some dumb little trinket, because what it stands for means a whole hell of a lot.

Just in case y'all did not hear that....Romeo got his 60 day chip!!!!!!

((((BIG HUGS)))) Buddy!

ladderStRipper

Congrats, Romeo.

Did you intend this thread to be in the "Stopping suboxone" category? I'm going to move it to the "12 step" section, unless you had a specific reason you wanted it under this section. If so, please PM me and we can talk about it.
