Was getting them on street for several months, after getting cut off oxy dispensed for badly broken foot. Then one source ended up in jail, the other ODed on H, I think intentionally - AKA suicide (very sad, helluva guy). Anyway, no choice but to jump at 2. I heard docs wont dispense anyway if a patient was obtaining on the street, and not going on H to get Sub. I hate opioids. Drive and libido disappeared; I'm not taking viagra. I want to be done with it for GOOD.

oh, I feel great <sarcasm>

Hell ain't a bad place to be...

I should add I was a heroin addict and had been clean 9 years. Oxy seemed only option for pain, orthopedic doc claimed NSAIDS retarded bone healing, and plain old Tylenol wasn't gonna cut thru the pain. But being on that shit set me off. I'd heard a lot about suboxone and was luckily able to find a source pretty easy. A sub doc wasn't really an option cuz I can't afford it. They all want 100s per visit. Was cheaper on street! $7 for 8mg. I wanted to taper lower than 2 but oh well, my suppliers were knee deep in illicit dealings and their clock ran out. So gritting my teeth.

I don't know what symptom is worse, but the lethargy is terrible. Feels like doing a triathlon going from sofa to the bathroom for a withdrawal splat in the bowl.

Love me some Steve Miller, man!!

After reading the second paragraph of your second post, I would recommend some baby butt wipes, those wet things. They'll save your ass. :)

So, day 7 from 2mg....your wd should be peaking or it will soon. Hang tough.

Not bad idea! Wish I had already thought of it. I dont think I can manage a store run today, but maybe. I have nice fluffy TP at least and not the John Wayne stuff.

I'm blasting it thru my bose right now.. love the heavy distortion :D

Music and reading are two of the things helping me pass the time and keep my mind off shit. And reruns of old shows I liked on netflix.

Two great songs. Tool has a tune called "Sober" as well. http://youtu.be/f9LId-_iDDc

It's been awhile since I've heard yours. Never heard an acoustic version of it....it was great. It touched some chords within.

Both choice picks.

Day 8. I managed about 4 1/2 -5 hours sleep. I'll take it. I start feeling really squirrely if I go without any sleep for more than a couple days.

That Steve Miller remake reminded me of this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CRWKTguxNQ&feature=kp

Love Tool--Sober.

Aaron Lewis's It's Been A While is such a hard song to listen to, too many emotions, but it is an amazing song!!

Awesome! I listened to Godsmack quite a bit when they first came out and never heard that cover! Talk about angst driven songwriting! Their first CD was incredible, they hit hit the spot when I was restless, to put it mildly.

As an aside, thanks for being here Mr. Romeo. Its good this subforum (pun not intended) has a few regular long-timer folks like you, "giving it away to keep it" :)

Glad I found this little corner of the 'net for support and fellowship. It helps since although I'm progressing, still too sick to venture out far.

I just realized the irony of the Great Cornholio avatar giving me advice on ass wipes :D

Worst part is not being able to trust a fart right now. So with GI going bonkers, its back and forth, sometimes just to make some noise.

As an aside:

SAVE up to 130 per year? If thats how much can be saved, what's the difference? Just how much does the average joe spend wiping his cornholio? A lot more than yeoldendays of outhouses and free sears catalogs.

Music really helps when feeling crappy.
It's really the only non chemical substance that brings some kind of relief.
I like all kinds of music but for now I'm on a rock/metal kick.

Anyway here is one of the many on repeat that helps me.

Unfortunately the first link may not play on a ipad..It will direct and play on a laptop/computer.

Yes, the Great Cornholio knows his bung holes, so always heed his advice in regards to bung holes!!

If you want, you could try Imodium to slow things down, down below.

I can't begin to explain how important music was to pulling me through my wd. A day or two before I quit Suboxone, I recorded an STP concert and used it to help distract myself as the wd intensified. Scott Weiland actually looked and sang fantastically in this concert, I was stunned. I was lucky enough to record some Iron Maiden (Run to the Hills), Joan Jett (Hate Myself for Loving You), Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow in the Dark), Scorpions (Rock You Like a Hurricane) and a few others that also helped me along.

A bit later in my wd, I would get extremely antsy in the early evening. I took to hopping in my car and driving around for an hour or so with AC/DC's Hells Bells at full blast. I love Hells Bells, it's just so in your face.

Snake, thanks for those Seether links. I'm assuming you've already heard Fine Again by them?

Great tunes, Snake. "I'll never forsake myself again!" :)

Romeo. I've got some Imodium. Been using it mostly at night (two tabs) so I don't shit the bed or something. I read somewhere that having the runs is one of the ways the body rids itself of toxins while detoxing (but to stay hydrated!), so I go easy on it during the day, and break them half to keep it to a dull roar.

I kind of believe there is something to the "ridding the body of toxins" theory. I lived on those "Boost" meal replacement drinks first five days. I stocked up before jumping, in case my appetite went south, and/or, I was too delirious from W/D to prepare meals. It turned out it was a good idea. But a lot of solids were coming out (albeit, in morsel sized pieces of liquid poo stew - other readers please excuse the graphic descriptions of my BMs, heh), probably from prior constipation caused by the suboxone. Its actually normal to shit two or three times a day, and while on that stuff, I was lucky when I got one, cuz some days none. Long story short, It might be good to let the body flush itself out even though its an uncomfortable process. Baby wipes as you wisely recommended or at least the expensive "extra soft" tissue are a must unless one goes heavy on the Imodium.

Off the GI topic. I have a wall tapestry that is a depiction of a rainbow at night, it sometimes makes me think of that Dio (RIP) song. My mom bought it for me as a BD gift because at the time I was a perpetual night owl. Was doing IT work and it seemed easier to stay focused on tasks at hand, when the world was quieted.

Hey there, I am glad to share the tunes. Romeo and be_doop Im glad you liked the tunes.
Ya when I am hurting I turn it up, having the music up loud helps too. I have certain songs
I fall back to. Those songs you mentioned are all good, and to see it live especially Maiden is freakin
cool. Romeo "Fine again" Hell yes great song.. The Immodium I will have to give it a try. I tried antacids to no relief. I just happened to have them laying around.

The last batch of zubsolv was breaking up on me trying to do 3/4 of a tab, falling on everything, crumbs on my shirt, falling on the floor..I don't know what was up with that, so for now the on call dr put me back on the strips until i go in for my apt in a few days. My family knows my history.

I am still taking the slivs because I didn't want to over do it on the subs, even at 3/4 of a strip.

When I feed I'm Stronger...I don't feel no longer! I Love that line in Forsaken. Thanks again Romeo and be_doop!

Day 9.

Slept horrible last night, but I slept. Not sure how many hours, maybe 5, but fitful, lots of waking and difficulty getting comfortable. Better than none, tho. Feel like caca today, but I've felt worse. I'm guessing around two weeks I'll be out of the woods, and start taking tyrosine and b6 so I have more energy. Then I can rejoin world of the living. Been using "flu" excuse to avoid obligations and so people leave me alone.
