Hello, I have a close friend who shoots his suboxone and has done so several times a day for at least three years. I personally believe hes addicted to the needle itslef.
Most times he shoots the strips and doesnt even use a filter. This MUST reek havock on his vascular system and heart. He experiences sleep anxiety, and all sorts of aches pains, palpitations, anxiety stomach pain and what i consider to be a bulbous sensation in his throat.
Does anyone know if any of these symptoms are directly related to his route of admin? What are the known dangers of i injecting subs? Im scared to death hes going to die from this. HES DEAD SET its not the suboxone but it seems to be too many symptoms at once....
Anyway any credible links or feedback about this would be appreciated as I will use the info as part of my intervention. Thank you in advance

He WILL die and soon if he does not quit. You need to join Al anon...if you don't, you are directly contributing to his problem/death.

It may be the ONLY way to save his life

Like the members above me this friend;) will end up six feet deep if you don't do something fast. He's dumb to put this shit in his veins but with no filter that's just plain crazy!

I disagree with this, unless he's helping him shoot it or giving him suboxone. Sometimes there are friends you just can't convince to get clean or do something about their problem. Sometimes you have to just let them be and hope they realize they are killing themselves. The guy is in denial and you are not responsible for that. You can't make him stop if he doesn't want to.

Agreed.

That's a really messed up thing to say anyways.

Regardless.

You must not be an addict... Or you would know that nobody can tell you ANYTHING while your using..... Especially to stop.

Just saying.
