Hey Crossroads,

I pulled this statement from your Denver site, your other locations say the same: "Utilizing methadone and suboxone detox programs allows our patients to safely withdraw from opiates and live a life free of substance abuse."

Are you DETOX only? how long do you allow folks to stay on bup? Studies show < 1 yr = 90% relapse.

Thanks, P

Did well on Suboxone. Stopped May 2011.
Stopping went well -- its the staying stopped -- where the real work begins.

Pelican,

Thank you for the inquiry! Crossroads is not a detox facility. We use Medication-assisted treatment to help opiate dependent patients get their lives back. Recovery and outcome success from opiate addiction varies from patient to patient. The length of time a patient remains in treatment should be based on his or her needs and progress. We expect patient commitment to at least one year of treatment before they choose to begin tapering or withdrawal from medication. As you stated, research has proven that remaining compliant and maintaining stability in treatment for a one year minimum produces better rates of success. Other studies show up to 80% relapse rates in patients who were judged to be rehabilitated before tapering. There are various issues which can affect treatment outcomes for each patient. This is why we provide ongoing counseling services from highly qualified staff. Crossroads utilizes harm reduction techniques and exercises person centered care to increase the likelihood of success for all of our patients.

If you are interested in services or, just want more information, please PM me at your convenience.
Thanks!
