Hi guys
as far as I can tell this is the best forum for exactly my situation. I have been on Buprenorphine, (we dont have sub in my country) for over a year, and now im finding myself in the strange position on having to continue my treatment while in Toronto for a months vacation.
Problem is, all the doctors i've contacted say that they dont know how to help me continue the treatment (becouse i'm not Canadian) or that this treatment is not available for patient from other countries!?
not cool man
so im asking, no begging for help, i'm traveling on the 20 sept so i dont have much time
will provide all necessary doc. pay for it even
help a fellow out

best regards

I don't know what state you're in, but you might want to try to contact Dr. Junig. He knows a lot about a lot of things and might be able to inform. Now, that said, I'm just guessing here, I obviously don't know for a fact that he can help you, but it's a thought.

See his latest blog post on TalkZone for his email address (link at top of each forum page). He posted it this time at the end of the blog post. I have no idea how long it would take for him to read it (you might want to indicate your time constraints in the "subject" line).

Good luck and I hope you work it out.

Problem is here in Ontario doctors don't like taking other doctors patients, you have to take your doses observed every day until they know you. I am also guessing Access to medical records is an issue as well. In my city for example there are only 2 clinics that can prescribe bupe.
