According to the 2 major wholesalers (there are 3 in the area) that my local pharmacy uses, that's the case. Nobody has it in stock in my town. Walgreens has one of the generics, but my doctor had told me to avoid it (to the point he's always written it DAW) because his patients that have tried the generics have had major issues (gritty/not dissolving well enough to the point that patients needed more than they did of the brand-name Subutex). For this month at least I MIGHT be able to get some of the remaining stock at another pharmacy farther from me delivered, but otherwise...

I take Subutex because I'm one of the unlucky few who gets headaches from the naloxone in Suboxone, so Suboxone isn't an option.

Anyone (Dr. Junig?) know what's up at RB that led up to this?

I wonder if it's because they're putting all of their production capacity into producing the new film.

Would that mean that a lot more 8mg Subutex is sold than 2mg if the 8mg is still being manufactured on schedule?

I'm gonna call the patient hotline on Mon. when they open. Wish me luck...

sounds likely. Why make something that they're competing for consumers with the generics while you can be putting your energy into marketing and manufacturing something new which they have the monopoly on.

IMHO they shouldn't have a patent on the tape. It's just combining a technology patented by a 3rd party with their own drug. It's not like RB have invented something new.

Am I cynical?

Didn't get to call RB until today. They said no backorder. Called the pharmacy I use who had it in stock.

Oookay...
