Which med? I imagine its probably safe, but is it a beta blocker, calcium channel blocker, etc?

I take atenolol/tenormin - a beta blocker - along with my suboxone. In fact, my subox doctor is the one who prescribes it for me.

Otherwise I don't know about other blood pressure meds with suboxone, but I don't recall them being specifically contraindicated either.

Hi RonnieSR -

I've had hypertension for years. Ignored it. Made excuses. As I said, my sub-doc is also a family practice doc.

When my BP at a monthly appt was 159/112, ( I had a stressful day) - he gave me lisonipril with HCTZ. A baby dose, but there was no hesitation for this calcium blocker and diuretic and sub.

It was my first journey into blood pressure land. I had been given a beta blocker years ago - for headache prevention (that was the thought) - but I couldn't handle the fatigue - so that ended.

This med works fine. My BP is still 'moderate' but way better. I've started up brisk walking 5 x a week to improve my cardio.

Hope this helps. I think you are fine!
