Hey everybody! I havent posted in a long time, and i felt that it was time. I have been on subs since early february after a relapse. I started at 8mg and have now since reduced to 2mg per day, once a day. Life is good. Work is busy, family is perfecr right now, money in the pocket. Couldn't be happier. I am approaching my 3 month follow up and feel a little apprehensive. I have heard that jumping below 2 mg is going to be rough. I am currently taking clonidine at night, to help with the late night, early morning w/d. I guess...life is so comfortable right now, for the first time since i was 12 that i am afraid of change. Is anyone else in a similar position? Anyone that has been here? My dr. Wants me to be finished in 2 months so I need to commit.

Anyway, I havent posted in a few months (and feel guilty as hell about it), but I dont have anyone else to turn to. I miss this forum, and everyone on it.

Good to hear from ya man. It has been a lil while. Wasn't sure which way you went after our last chat. Good to hear you're kickin ass.

It's great you're managing on 2mg. You're doing better than me! I can't get below 8mg before I start withdrawing. I got a weird body like that. It's gunna make tapering hard, but not impossible I spose.

Stick around your input would be welcome on here for sure.

Thanks amber, tj. Its been too long. Tj, to be honest i had to just force it below 8. I had a couple days off n just committed to it. Getting below 2 has been my road block though. Anyways, ill be checking in from time to time as i miss this community. Thanks for the responses guys!

Hey prodigy - welcome back - it's good to "see" you.

So your doctor expects you to taper from 2 mg to zero in the next two months? Personally, I think you need a bit more time than that to properly taper to minimize your withdrawals. This is where you really want to slow down your taper and listen to your body and take time in between each dose drop. I just think if you push your taper really fast to be done in two months, like your doctor wants, that you'll suffer more than you need to.

Perhaps you can discuss this further with your doctor? Either way, it's good to see you back and I hope your taper continues to go smoothly.

Hey hat thanks for the welcome back. He does expect me to drop it down in 2 months, but ive been able to buy more time in the past. I dropped to 1.75 (i think) as its hard to cut the 8's exact as they always break apart. Next week i will switch to the 2's. Either way I just wanted to say hi to everyone
