Hey everybody!

I wasn't sure where to post this, I hope nobody minds I posted it here.

Since I started suboxone 2 weeks ago (thurs) I've had a hard time figuring out what to do with all the extra time on my hands. I've been a stay at home mom for the last 7 years & all my kids are in school full time now. I used to fill my days trying to get my DOC, but I've found that I've just been bored since I started the subs. Other than the boredom my experience with sub has been wonderful.

So...... As of today I am currently enrolled at the local community college! I am FINALLY persuing my dream of becoming a Physical therapist - I'll start classes first to become an assistant to the therapist & go from there. This is something I never felt was possible until now. I was so consumed by my DOC that I never imagined doing anything like this.

Anyway, just wanted to share! Thanks for reading :)

Congrats!! You are GettingThere ;-)

Subz allowed me to go back to school as well. I am graduating with my bachelors in May. It will be so good for you to have something to do!

I can already tell that you are courageous, taking such a big step so soon. Have no fear, and good luck with school!

Thanks Noalabi!

I'm working on "getting there" lol I'm very excited knowing I'll be using my time for something productive for a change. It's time for me to better myself :)

Congrats to you on your bachelors! That's a big accomplishment! I'm hopeful that one day I can post or say the same.

Kickarse!

It is so common for people to have too much time on their hands after they stop using. For many it's a big relapse factor. So it's great you've gotten pro-active - it's a good sign. Congrrats.
