So, after 20 days of the suboxone film after trying many dosage changes, my Dr decided that it was the naloxone I was so sensitive to. He prescribed me subutex 8mg, and being new to this, I had no idea that there was no longer the brand name available. I always buy brand name meds. So I was given the Roxane generic. It is horrible, I have no side effects besides a little nausea at times, but I can barely tell I'm even taking anything. When I was on the suboxone films, even though I was so sensitive to the naloxone , the bupenorphine was very effective. I never even had the first thought about wanting my DOC. But in the four days I've been on this generic, I have many cravings. Does anyone have any experience with what is available and which one works the best or at all? Cost is not an issue, I just want the best and most effective. Surely there is something better. I was only needing about 2-4mg/day with the suboxone, even though I was prescribed 16mg. With this roxane generic, I'm taking 8mg and hardly feel a thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good morning
You are definitely NOT the first one to have this question,,, it does seem that
not many dr's will Rx the generic though, so when the question DOES come up,
only a few answers come in, sometimes NONE...... sorry ,, just the way it's been.... BUT i do have
some SHORT threads,,, these below here, ARE ALL on the generic brands, which ones are best, how
they worked out for a few people at least.............
SO,,,
I hope you can read thru these, and fine at least SOME ANSWERS!!!!!!!!!!!
feel free to add your own opinions, after you try whatever brand........
If you add an entry to THIS THREAD,
that you started here, then when another person comes along with the same question, I can give them
THIS LINK, which already has the others, I just added below!!!
sounds good to ME!!!!

seriously,,, I hope that you DO find something that helps fight your cravings, AND doesnt give you side effects,
that IS what we are all trying to do, afterall
hope this helps, and GOOD LUCK

I experienced serious adverse effects with the 2mg Hi Tech generics. I recently filed an FDA Medwatch report for Hi Tech.

Hi! I also had this problem with Roxane. But interestingly enough, when I first started years ago I did not. I went back to the film for awhile since I had insurance, but that ran out and I went back to roxane. It was like I was taking nothing. now I'm back on film, the first day I was blown away at how strong it was

No prescription needed? And how is that legal? Please forgive me in advance fellow members, but I really need to tell this poster that this is a reputable forum and I feel this post is very inappropriate. I have utmost respect for all members, Dr. Junig, and this site. We are getting our lives back together on the up and up and this just doesn't belong.

Thank you pugmommy!! I was just gonna ask the same thing ! I was very confused by this post. I saw it and read it twice to be sure I read it correctly. I don't think that is legal either.
