I am on Day 6 of Suboxone Withdrawal. I am feeling pretty good except for the lack of sleep. I was on opiates for 3 years then switched to Suboxone for the last 2 years.

I saw this post about Anger." I am angry at my Doctor " " I am angry at Suboxone " " I am angry at Opiates in general "

As addicts we always place the blame on something or someone else ! I know I did !

The past 6 days have been very educational for me. My head is not clouded from drugs !

The only thing you should be angry at is " YOU " ! I let it get this far, I didn't stop , I made the choice !

Remember the first time you took an opiate ? Remember them holding a gun to your head and saying " TAKE THIS " ? Remember the first time you took Suboxone ? Remember the Doctor strapping you down and forcing you to take it ?

Oh Yeah ! It didn't happen like that !!!

I made the choice to take it all ! I am the one to blame ! If I wouldn't have taken the pills then I wouldn't have ever needed Suboxone ? Get it ? I see people saying that their doctor is to blame. I was in this boat as well just a week ago ! But the truth is that I didn't have to keep taking it. I could have cut down after just a few months. I liked the way it made me feel ! so I kept making excuses to take it ! I AM AN ADDICT ! Yes, the doctors will keep prescribing it to you, but they are not making you up your dosage or take it everyday when you didn't really need it , are they ?

No one got me into this situation but me !

Until you can place the blame FULLY on you, You will continue to struggle !

I am an addict, I made peace with that, I am doing fine and look forward to tomorrow !

DON"T LET IT WIN !

I blame doctors for refusing to write Subutex instead of Suboxone, which many do..thereby costing people lots of money when they could be getting their medication for a few dollars a month!

I also blame them for much of the BLATANT MISINFORMATION many of them spread.

However, for the most part, I agree with you completely. +1!

Ironic -

If you read my post "THIS MIGHT HELP" You will see what my Dr did to me. Money talks and B.S. walks !

The $$$ isn't in the CURE but it IS in the Medicine to maintain your problems from month to month !!!

But I let it happen ! I could have stopped all of this a long time ago !!!

Thanks for your post !
