I came across this website today, and I'm so pleased that I did. I've been on Suboxone for 10 days now and it truly has done wonders. I am concerned about staying on it for maintenance. I started with 32mg on the first day and then tapered down to 2mg after 8 days. I was coming off a 40-50 Norco/day habit after having 9 months of sobriety. Maybe I'll post my story in the "story" section. Glad to meet you all. Cheers.

Hello & welcome to the forum.

If you think long(er) term Sub treatment will be better for you, I say go for it. There are ways to taper off without getting very sick. PM me if you're interested or read my thread in Stopping Suboxone - it's the Liquid Taper Method thread.

See you around.

Welcome. I found out about this site on YouTube. I started Suboxone over a month ago. It has been a great blessing as you may know. Also, I have diabetes, so the logic of the Doctor's statement regarding this disease makes alot of sense to me. There is no cure for Diabetes yet, so I will take pills to manage it. The same logic applies to my addiction to narcotics. The cravings, the sickness and all the money flying out the window has ceased because of Suboxone. For about 4 days last month, I had been without my Suboxone meds after about 25 straight days of taking 16mg each day. There was barely any withdrawl effect. There were times when my anxiety was a little out of control, but nothing I wasnt able to handle. My best to you!
