Hi, I have been on suboxone strips for about 4 years now and I started off taking about 1/10th a day but for the past two years I have been taking 1/6th a day and now that I have done the program totally wrong and not continually tapering down. I am wondering how I should begin to taper. I am so stuck on this same dose and when I try to take less I feel sick and I have never experienced this long halflife others talk about within 8 hours of dosing I am in full withdrawal, yawning, watery eyes, no energy..etc. I just want off this drug! I have headaches constantly, nausea, no energy, and a general unwell feeling. I tried once to go without taking it for a day but as soon as I wake up I feel awful and I can't take care of my kids without dosing. Any ideas are appreciated!

Hi SB, Welcome! I have a couple of questions...1/10 or 1/6? Do you mean of a strip? And, if so, how many milligrams is the strip? When you say you stopped the program, which program are you referring to? And, why did you stop? Have you always had these symptoms that you are talking about? What was the highest dosage that you were on? And, did you have the symptoms then? Sorry to have so many questions but I don't feel that I could give you a good answer without more information.
