Hi all!

Its been awhile since Ive been on the forum. Nice to see its still breathing strong!

So, Ive been on generic Subutex for many years. Over the past year, my doctor and I have successfully tapered me from 24mg to 6mg. Im pretty darn proud of that!!

I know this seems like a slow taper. But, taking this slowly has worked really well for me.

I inquired about 4mg generic Subutex Roxa tabs. My pharmacist sais theyre only made in 2mg & 8mg.
Does anyone have any experience with 2mg generic Subutex in the Roxa brand?
Ive been on the Roxa brand for a long time and prefer to continue with it.

I also prefer once a day dosing. So, Im trying to find out how large the tablets are.

When my doc reduces me again this week, we'll probably go down to 4mg.
Im trying to decide if it would be better to just continue on the 8mg tabs (simply broken in half), or to try the 2mg tabs.

Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Thanks SO MUCH for your reply!

Do you have any experience with the lower mg generic Sub varieties?
Id prefer to stay with the Roxa brand, b/c Ive had great success.
But, my main goal is to taper extremely slowly.

Im currently on 6mg.
My doctor has been gracious enough to allow me to remain on the 8mg tabs throughout this taper.
I just break about a quarter of it off.

I would kindof like to reduce to 5mg, before going to 4mg.
I can very easily break my 8mg in half.
Im confidant I can then break the other half into 4 pieces.....to get a 5mg dose.

Im not certain if he's gonna go for that though. So, Im researching other options.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

My insurance company made me switch from suboxone to zubsolv in July of 2014. I take the equivalent to 2-3 mg of suboxone per day. Zubsolv is supposed to be better absorbed so 1.4 mg of Zubsolv is equivalent to 2mg of suboxone. I'm not sure about the cost difference between the two, but I do like the Zubsolv. It tastes much better. I also use a coupon from Orexo, the company that makes it.

I know that there's a thread here on Bunavail, which is another buprenorphine product. Here's a link:

I hope that helps!
